well, this is just amazing. Although he was not the most amazing singer, he definitely had some courage to go up there. It makes me think about where he has been and where he came from. I'm sure he's had great teachers along the way that have impacted his self esteem forever! This also makes me think of all of the gifted children who have autism. Have you researched that at all? I think it is so important as a teacher to try to find these little gifts in each child and bring it out!
Liz that was such an empowering video. It melted my heart when the crowd started singing with him. It shows the courage he has and I know that sometimes it's a challenge in autisim is facing a huge crowd like that. I think that our society has come such a long way and is so much mor understanding and educated now. A few years ago I feel that the crowd would have rejected that man and now they all stood there in support! Execellt video you found.
Hey girls! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I absolutely loved it. I feel like teachers have such a large impact on a student's ability to do ANYTHING, even something like this! It's very important, like Lauren mentioned, to give each and every student a chance, regardless of gender, race, special needs, or gifted. It is so great to see people, like these in the audience, come together like they did and help the man out!
